URDD SWIMMING GALA
Thank you to all the members that took part in the Urdd's swimming gala. It was fantastic to see a good representation from the school. Congratulations to Cai G for coming 1st and Sioned 3rd.

Thank you to the pupils who par0cipated in the Urdd's football competition. Both teams of boy’s and the girls team played extremely well having a mix of results: drawing, winning and losing!
Pupils from Hafod class enjoyed competing in the National Urdd cricket competition in Newport cricket club. Everyone played very well and enjoyed the experience.
Congratulations to years five and six for competing in the annual ‘Kwik Cricket’ tournament at Bronwydd. The children played exceptionally well fair play.

RICHMOND PARK FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
Years 4,5 and 6 competed in a football tournament at Richmond Park fields this year. Everyone had fun playing against local schools. by Callum a Gwion
Many children from Peniel School ran the Mayor’s Race, and we had fun running through the town in the rain. My sister Annabella came third in her race and she received a trophy, congratulations to her and to everyone who took part. by Amelia and Osian.
A huge congratulations to the cricketers for competing so well on Monday in the glorious sunshine! It was a nail biting finish with just 6 runs separating us from the winners. Although the result was unfortunate, you have 10 out of 10 for the performance, effort and sportsmanship. Well done boys!
Last week children from years 3,4,5 and 6 ran a cross-country competition against Dyfed schools. There was around 200 children in each race, it was tough but a lot of fun! by Meilyr and Amelia Yr.4
We had enough boys in Year 6 to take 2 teams, therefore away they all went to the Leisure Centre for a morning of healthy competing. Both teams had exciting games and everyone gave their best. Well done.
My friends and I from years 3,4,5 and 6 went to the Urdd swimming gala competition. To begin with we warmed up and then it was competition time! The relay races were first, and then individual races followed. Everyone swam well, especially Aled Conlon who has gone through to the next round in Cardiff. Good luck Aled! by Angharad Yr 5

My friends and I travelled to Llanelli to compete in the Urdd gymnastic competition. We had a lot of fun performing, and we received medals for coming second. By Emily Flint,Year 5.

Myself and other pupils from years 3, 4, 5 and 6 ran around the Nantyci show fields, and everyone gave 100%. I was very pleased because I received a medal for coming seventh. Rhufon Yr 6.
